Learning Beyond the Classroom
GO STEM Teachers Visit
As part of the GO STEM program, more than 15 teachers from across Oregon explored real-world resource management at an active mitigation site. With support from TVCC, the visit highlighted the value of experiential education and the connections between classroom learning and careers in natural resources.
Trout Creek Beaver Project
Work on the Trout Creek project continues to move forward. The team recently completed another phase of construction and celebrated the progress with the Beaver Dam BBQ — bringing the team and community together to recognize the work being done on the ground.
Trout Creek Beaver Project
Projects like Trout Creek give interns the opportunity to experience natural-resource work firsthand — from seeing restoration work take shape to understanding the planning, collaboration, and fieldwork behind it.
These experiences are designed to help young people build practical skills while gaining a clearer understanding of the career opportunities available in natural resources.
Building the Next Generation
BRC’s internship program gives students the opportunity to work alongside natural-resource professionals, explore career pathways, and contribute to projects that make a difference in their own communities.
